Describe how you would design an experiment to determine if the necklace is authentic? ( gold, silver, pearl, any type of necklace)

oh easy! well, i dont know how scientific your paper has to be, but if it doesnt have to be, then i can help!
pearls...basically, if you scratch your tooth on a fake pearl (plastic) then it will be smooth. but if it is a real pearl, then it will feel gritty and rough, and you will know it is authentic!
Put in a bowl of water to determine the volume of the necklace. Then wiegh it to determine the mass. Then compare that to the mass of gold, silver ect.
